I don't believe it.... I bought 2 sets of those Cossacks a few weeks back... now they release the updated set!

I imagine the new set will be quite impressive, as the older kit is pretty good.

Odd choice of Dragon to do a 251/10 Ausf D with full shield - perhaps the kit has the smaller/part shields as well, but I've never seen a photo of a full shield on an Ausf D. In fact I can't remember ever seeing a 251/10 Ausf D photo at all; I'm sure there must be some somewhere - anyone like to post one up?

Obviously anything goes at the end of the war, but it's an unlikely combination.

Now you mention it... It does seem like an odd choice to me as well - a 251/10 'B' or 'C' I could understand, the 'D' confuses me mightily....

I also picked up the Cossack set as well. I will just have to add the new kit to my wish list. I'm going to feel like I am modeling the Old West instead of WWII.

Unfortunately where the 251/10 D is concerned, this smacks a bit of opportunism to me - the dies are all existing, it's just a shake up of existing parts, & as Catch 22 & Jim say, it's unlikely if not incorrect. The height of the full shield was a problem that was quite quickly addressed, photos of Ausf C vehicles commonly show the cut down shield, or even lack of one altogether. However, it is likely that some sort of close support weapon was deemed necessary in the panzergrenadier platoon, since there was widspread adaption of the 2.8cm Panzerbusche to this role evidenced in Normandy, so an Ausf D 251/10 is possible, but definitely without the shield. The 251/10 was usually issued to the platoon HQ halftrack BTW.
I'll be after the Sdkfz 250 though. The box art looks like it came straight from a photo in the After the Battle "Ruckmarsch" book.
