That they do! Much like the German helmets. This is one of those items that can be used for just about any WWII US vehicle, dio, vignette. In essence, an excellent item for the "spares" box.... multiple uses.

Less useful than the German helmets, as there is no indication of the fiber liner found in all US M1 helmets. This was a complete duplicate of the outer steel helmet in Olive Drab pressed fiber which fitted inside, and carried the internal suspension and straps. It could be also be worn separately as an imitation helmet in non-combat situations--painted white, the liner was often seen on MP's, for instance. When the helmet is turned upside down you should be able to see the separate edge of the liner inside the steel rim.

Gerald is right about the liner (I have mine in the loft, the Dutch Army used them well into the 1990's ) so the internal suspension and head band etc can not be used with these helmets. You can however still put the strap that is usually worn over the front lip in place, as that strap is attached to the steel outer helmet. To put it down as an accessory on a vehicle or such it still works. Just don't use the liner straps.
And no, you can't wear the outer helmet on it's own... unless you have very luxurious hair...
