Verlinden is shinking some classic pieces into a new 1/48th scale version.
See this and a new 1/35th scale building front due for December release.

Looks great. I like Verlinden products a lot, and it is sad to see so few new releases from him. He was a real "power house" back in the day.

Thanks again.

Well, nice to see the new releases. Especially the brigde is nice for a simple diorama.

Mark, Verlinden sold the whole company some years ago and it was moved to the US from Belgium. I do not know if he is still working for the "new" Verlinden, but I think he has retired.

Jesper:

Verlinden just moved his company from Belgium to USA to collaborate with VLS and make easy the production. This was a very good couple until both break their relactionships. Verlinden is not an easy person, so...that end was expected.
He was running alone his company until now, but he wish to sell his factory. The only interested buyer was Squadron , but they finally bought VLS and not VP.

So...now...Verlinden is forced to continue with his company until a new buyer apear, but he is very tired of all of this with really few motivation. I think that he is just waiting for the end and get retired as soon as possible.
If you have a couple of Million bucks in your pocket, you can buy the facilities and productions. Very easy.

But I think that Squadron made very well their election choosing VLS and not VP, beacuse the VLS situation was stronger and more ..."actual" for the nowdays.

Regards

Thanks for the update, guys. I think I must have mixed VLS and VP up - I actually thought it was the same company. My mistake.
