Good news Pat,
A logical follow-up to their CyberHobby kit #6471 Munitionwagen.
Now if only someone would do one for the Wespe.
Cheers

I KNEW this would happen - I'm halfway through a major reworking of the Alan kit!

I figured i was doomed when Dragon came out with the flak panzer Gepard 38(t)...

Nice to see this one coming, it will definitely be an improvement over the Alan offering. The box art offers a little bit of a tease with the Grille H in the background...wonder if that might not also be in the works since they've got the gun? The inclusion of a metal barrel for the sIG 33 is a nice touch. Wonder if this means more sIG 33 armed vehicles in the future?

Definitely one I'll be looking forward to.

I'm sure they will do the Grille H since they used to have it (Kirin kit). I'm hoping they will marry the sIG 33 with their Panzer IB.

I agree Gary...so many possibilities with the sIG 33 are there!

Of course that would mean they would have to do the carriage as well. They might not think it was worth it. But then they could sell the towed sIG 33 as a separate kit with crew figures.

I guess this is the big advantage of having a huge catalogue. With a few new sprues, Dragon can marry so many kits and we can get quality kits of subjects we weren´t dreaming of, a few years ago. With their recent production rate, all of these suggestions feel possible.

I just got their Bergepanzer Tiger (P) a few days ago and the sprues barely fit into the box. They took kit raiding to an extreme. There is a sprue from a Sturmgeschuetz kit with the upper superstructure on it and the only parts used are for the roof machine gun. It certainly shows how costly making a new mold is when it's easier/cheaper to throw in a sprue to use 2% of the parts.

On the Grille H subject - I agree knowing how Dragon seem to think, if you go back to their PUMA (234/3) on the box lid following the puma was the (now released under the Cyberhobby brand) 234 w/2cm Schwebelafette. Sorry Dragon you can't pull the wool over our eyes !

This was a theory that I had back in the old days when Dragon was a few years old. It seemed that with their modern Soviet stuff, if you saw a different vehicle in the background of the cover art that it would soon be announced. I remember being quite excited when I spotted an SA-8 TEL on one cover. Unfortunately, they stopped making modern Soviet stuff and switched to WW2 German stuff.

I'm a big 38t fan and the sIG 33 so I can't wait for this one. Looks like I'll be getting this and the new Panther F w/Steel Wheels at the same time.

I jumped the gun... I was counting on getting a free Alan kit, so I bought both Eduard sets for it. The Alan kit kind of fell through. So, if anyone has an unstarted Alan kit in their stash that they're now willing to part with for not too much money (I don't want to put a fortune into the Alan kit, with the DML one soon to be available), I would welcome a PM.

Dave

P.S. I hope that this posting isn't too off-topic and tacky, this just seemed like a good opportunity to troll for the Alan kit.
