Nice work all the way around Bill! Great progress shots, like all the detail you've added, as well as your camo job. Looking forward to seeing your weathering, thanks for sharing your build with us.

Cheers -
Tim

Looking good Bill. I like the camo and the beaten up parts. The tracks seem to be sitting wonky at the rear ... see third last image!
Have this kit myself and some AM for it including 2 Verlinden interior sets. Someday maybe!!

Hi Frank, just a sidenote, Verlinden's interior isn't correct for german WW2. They based it on a Swiss/Swedish version which is different.

Somewhat but is the eduard kit correct ? Just wondering,as I have it and it is next on my list of TODO'S. I am asking about the full kit mid production w/interior and engine . As far as the mg34 I have found several photos of it with the full stock ....too late though I see..

Looking good Bill! One other small thing to suggest unless you've already done it would be to drill out the face of the sighting periscope since DML molded that solid. I like the camo pattern and the vehicle number choice as well.

Here is the final installment in this build log.

No time for field repairs:

Can I have a little chain with that?

Bullets make dents and dents make rust:

This one has seen hard use:

Thanks, everyone, for the encouragement you've given me!

Hi, Bill ! The beautiful model and excellent work - very much is pleasant to me your model. It looks as the machine which has visited fights, the real veteran. I congratulate you !

Alexander.

Thanks, Alex, for the undeserved praise.

Ivanhoe6, the Dunkelgelb color looks very close to the rust in the photos when in actuality, it's not on the model. But it has certainly had some rough usage, that's for sure.

Looks awesome Bill. She's definitely a battle vet. The weathering is perfect, looks like it went over some muddy French fields. What's up next?

Thanks, Rob, trying to get that late 1944-early '45 look. Saw some newsreel footage of American 1/2tracks in Germany in April 1945 and they were dusty as all hell.

Need to put the finishing details on my Sd.Kft. 7/FLAK 36 88mm combo (just too damn cold in my basement, and I can't get my new Paasche pressure reg to work right, so I started the DML PTO USMC Sherman in honor of my dad at Saipan.

Thank you, Daniel, I'm flattered with all the nice things folks are saying. Nothing could make an armor modeller happier than to have his vehicle compared to the real thing. This camo scheme is from one fellow member Richard Craig sent that showed a Hetzer captured in Czechoslovakia in 1945.

I was speechless, this is a Hetzer from hell, batlle damaged, aged and dirty, just great, good job.
