The next release from Miniman Factory will be an unusual subject (for a model manufacturer) but a VERY commonly-seen vehicle in archive photos and newreels, the UAZ - 452 Russian Minivan. The advance Report (more details/images to follow) can be seen:

Fantastic! Now we all can build an Eastwood "Firefox" diorama! It is an interesting subject though.

I was going to originally title the Report 'Surfing U.S.S.R.' but, fortunately, I thought better of it...

Very interesting release! Maybe more of use in dios and such than stand alone, but I welcome its availability. Now, if we can only get some contemporary 1/35 scale vehicles for our modern armour dios...

Cheers,
Ian

The UAZ-452 is a prime Cold War soft skin.....so many uses. I wouldn't be surprised if they came out with a cargo truck version eventually as well.

That van would be perfect for a little urban diorama with the van and a Soviet T-55.....perhaps a little fender bender?

It is on my list, I am going to get one of these. It better not be £100 though.

Endless possibilities here. Prague 1968, Soviet ambulance, Soviet militija van, possibly also official vehicles from other WP nations... Good news therefore!

OMG a Gamma Goat could a GOER be far behind. The diorama possibilities are endless with the theme of broken down Gamma Goats. A Russian van is kind of neat but won't be in my workshop.

Seen plenty of these in Iraq used by Iraqi Army Post Saddam. We had them at RPC in Baghdad for the Iraqi Commando School
