Boy that is a unique design...
I think I like it!
The large concrete mound is intriguing. My guess would be for drainage purposes, as surface water would have caught in that internal angle and seeped through the brickwork into the left side building without it. Looking at it with concrete in place, all water either coming down walls or running along the footpath, would deflec... Hmmm, ok sorry about the plumbing thesis!

Looks great, not sure about the actual display space on the road way looks a bit small to hold anything other than a jeep or a few troops.

Could just be the perspective in the pics though.

Hi, A fine sample how with very simple elements is possible making a very fine scene plenty of "atmosphere".

Al I think you're right but I imagine this is aimed at the figure modlers as a base for a vignette.
I doubt if you could fit a jeep on it though I reckon shoulder to shoulder you could fit from just one to upwards of 20 troops on there and with a bit of imagination tell great story.

It's an interesting back drop for some figures, you could as you say make a great scene with a little thought.

Interesting yes, but with a drainage pipe covering half the boardwalk and the other water place also covering more than half the boardwalk, not very realistic IMO. Ok, i admit that not all boardwalks are as large as our actuel pedestrian zones, but this is a bit narrow.

thanks for the reply and the correction, as it seems, architecture and road layout was defintely not as we are used to have it today.

Wouldn't that be (and this is directed at all the manufacturing companies), be a good idea to ad your reference pictures into the product description. Not to prrof that you are right, but to give the modeller directly a real reference to work with.

Hi Claude,

I'd like everyone to know that we provide color reference pictures in our products and have been since 2001.

I'd also like to say that I really like MK35's subject choices and can easily assume they know what they are doing in regards to design and details. They have released more than a few kits that I think "wish I thought of that one".

it does look a nice set although the road section appears quite small, so It would be interesting to see what size vehicle you could actually add.
