This makes a nice, quick and easy diorama base.

I sure hope they're planning to make a tram car in the fututre

Either MA is listening and slowly teasing me, or they're stone cruel, LOL! I think they have a tram in the oven.

But PLEASE include an interior, I don't want to scratch-build one or wait for an AM interior (which will make the durned thing as expensive as the resin one).

Where the heck did you find it? I checked the Custom Dioramas website (it's them, right?) and there's nothing listed. Haven't found any retailers with it.

Just how long IS a scale tram? My guess is at least 18 inches.

No, less than half of that. Look at the size of the entrance step and it'll give an idea of the length:

Thanks to Martin Mendl for the image...

Bill, PM sent with info. The Custom Dio kit is aprox 12 1/4" long, 2 3/4" wide and 3 1/2'' high. A bit taller when you add the power connectors. Kit # CD6052.

Bill, sent P.M. with info but having problems with this computer as usual. Custom Dioramics kit # CD6052. Have not built the tram yet so I took measurments of the parts. Aproximations are 12 1/4" long, 2 3/4" wide, 3 1/2" tall. Should be a bit taller with the electric arms to the power lines though. Seems to be French as it comes with French advertisments for the center pannels. Pick it up in 06 so I'm not sure if it is still available. Hope this helps you.

Hi,

Jim, you seem to know everything (even "top secrets") about MiniArt and their future plans. But there were no words from you in this actual news. Is it a reliable information? In every case I hope so. Tnx.

"Tram, tram, tram, tram, tram, wonderful tram!!!" (sung to the "SPAM" song by Monty Python).

Hi, everybody,

Recently looked through the MiniArt’s guestbook for the past three years, and made the following statistics concerning wishes (ONLY 1/35 and WWII). Highlighted are the items, which were either released in the meantime, or are WIP. (In addition there is quite a number issued by Masterbox).
My conclusion is, that the guys at MiniArt ARE responsive to customer’s wishes.

Buildings:
 North African buildings and some bunkers.
 A church or small chapel ruin, Orthodox or Catholic.
 Communist-era public monuments such as statues or fountains.
 Stone barns or farm buildings.
 Finnish or Karelian structures.
 Smth like just a corner (2 walls) or some building fronts so that one could build a series of building fronts to make a lone street diorama.
 Pill-boxes and bunkers; e.g. the Soviet М2 type bunker.
 Want to do a street sections of two or three houses next to each other.
 I hope to see some Dutch buildings sometime
 Intact buildings.
 Arnhem (Belgian) small and low houses.
 Would love to see some North African dioramas.
 A kit that includes collapsed flooring / beams etc for the 2 storey buildings.

Figures:
 Crews for captured tanks: a Soviet crew for a PZII or IV, a German crew for a T-34.
 Finns, Hungarians, Romanians, Cossacks, partisans. Refueling crews. Naval infantry.
 Resistance movements.
 Would love to see more "ACTION" in the figures, like shooting and hand to hand combat...
 Polish and French WW2 figures.
 Japanese Infantry/Artillery
 Wish for some SS Soldiers, Gebirgsjager or Fallschirmjager
 How about a couple of British and US Crews for my M7, M10, M18, M36, M112
 French, Polish, Hungarian, Rumanian, Finnish, Japanese troops.
 Civilians. Women, kids, elderly people in winter, summer clothes
 European tank crews 1938-1945 (Hungarians, Italians, French, Rumanians, Polish.
 Asian tank crews 1938-1969
 Ukrainian Cossacks
 German and Russia soldiers, who play music, dance and take photos,
 British tank crew in ‘pixie suits’, British infantry at rest

Vehicles & armor:
 There is a huge demand for allied vehicles.
 Soviet T-60.
 1/35 British Armoured and Scout Cars????
 BT-7, T-26, T-50, T-38. Т-20 "Komsomolets”.
 Red Army artillery: 3-K, S-80,72-K, 52-K and .
 T-34, the SU - and ISU - series?
 1/35 U.S. & Russian World War II Flaks
 civil cars in 1:35 - some ideas: Ford V8, BMW 326, 318, 320; Mercedes-Benz 230, G4, 170, 540; Opel Olympia, Kadett, Super P6, Admiral, Kapitan; Adler Dilomat; Horch 853; Ford G 917/918; Citroen CV11; GAZ 61-40 - 73, M1.
 Gebrigsgeschutz 36 or GebG 36
 More armored cars, personal carriers, heavy and light trucks, lorries.
 "Lancia Lince".
 Vickers .303 machine gun and crew, 2’’, 3’’ and 4’’ mortars and crew
 British/Commonwealth WW2 softskin vehicles/trucks
 Guns А-19 and ML-20
 Soviet 85-mm A/A gun.
 Early type of ZIS-2

Accessories:
 Furniture such as tables, chairs and similar things…
 Some plumbing fixtures such as bathtubs, washstands, and WC's.
 Injection-moulded stairways and railings.
 Shutters and clear plastic windows, with and without shattered panes.
 Park benches.
 Home animals, first of all DOGS and CATS
 New door types
 Stuff as clock, radio, big table and chairs, hanging lights, record players, frames, jar, tea pot and wall robes
 Series of interior/exterior furniture sets; already popular in resin but no-one makes anything in plastic I think this would be popular
 Some ammo and boxes for other nations ie. British 6pdr, German 75mm, British infantry ammunition

General:
 Own on-line shop?
 Hi, would like to see diorama base in the building accessories
 Would love to see a "Berlin 1945" or a "Stalingrad 1942-43" diorama.
 Heads, ammunition and weapon as separate kits.
 Traffic signs, signpost/guide, well, crates, tool hand truck, bicycles, civil vehicles
 Farm tools, carts, etc
 Any basic street sections i.e. cobble stone roads so that you can incorporate more than one building / diorama together

Suggestion. Beside expressing wishes here, I encourage all of you write also directly on MiniArt homepage. I’m convinced it’ll hit the target.

Personal to bill_c: Tram, tram, tram tram – write it to them as well!! To make things easier tram in Russian – трамвай, so you can simple write: трамвай, трамвай, трамвай!!!

Cheers,

Graysokol
