We were recently sent some photos of the sprues for the new Hobby Boss M1070 HET. There is a lot of plastic here. I hope everyone has made room for it on the workbench.

I was wondering about the possible price.. and I thought, if the "DANA" which is a huge kit with lots of plastic and PE sells for around $50 (in the HK stores)... then how much more expensive could the tractor alone be? Well, I'm hoping not a whole lot more expensive

How about a betting game I say $65 for the tractor alone... wishful thinking

Well the plastic looks nice. Probably see an engine set and such one day. However the replacement cost for resin tires will probably be sky high. P/E set(s) will be everywhere soon too and probably total out to the same price as the kit.

If this thing is 3/4 as nice as the AA monster resin kit than I think that many of us will be more than happy.

Now if they will make a cement mixer in 1/35 to put on the trailor.

We could really use some military heavy construction equipment in 1/35 like scrapers, graders, excavators, loaders and dozers. I know Vajra makes a dozer in 1/35 but something in plastic will be a little simpler and cheaper.

Hi Hisham and all others,

an online shop here in Germany takes pre-orders and charges the entire combo with 110 Euros. Sounds like a fair price to me.

Cheers

Hi there,

my sourcebooks say that the tractor is 9,19 m in lenght (about 30 feet) and the semitrailer 15,9 m (about 52 feet). This would make a combo lenght of about 22,5 m (74 feet). The model will be 642 mm or a little over 2 feet. So better make some extra space on your shelf.

Hey Hans, thanks for the info. That's actually not a bad price for both tractor and trailer.. (about $160)... The prices in Europe are usually a lot higher than the prices in HK.. so, I'm "HOPING" for somewhere between $110 - $120 in the HK stores. We'll have to wait and see how much lower it will be

Hisham

P.S. The shipping is going to be murder, though

The prices for Hobby Boss and Trumpeter in Germany are very comparable to the prices at Hobbyeasy. So that would mean around 100- 120 HKD.

Well, I was comparing the prices of some Trumpeter kits between this German store...
http://www.sockelshop.de/catalog/index.php?cPath=73_23_104&sort=4a&page=3
and Hobbyeasy... and the prices are comparable in USD not in HKD. Like if a kit sells for say 32 Euros at the German store, then it sells for around $35 at Hobbyeasy.. which is (237 HKD)

I wish the price would be 120 HKD.. that would be like $25

Hisham
