Tamiya are sure to please fans of British equipment with a recent release announcement. Their new kit features a BSA M20 motorcycle, rider, and MP.

Alan

Then why, when I searched back FOUR YEARS in reviews under Tamiya, did it not show up ?

Problems such as this really do not encourage anybody to contribute!

Hi Rob

Don't know. Maybe because it was a news item and not a review as such.

Do items that appear in the "/news" section get found by the search engine ?

Hi Rob,

A duplicate story is no big deal. Although this is an old style kit in comparison to to-days offerings, for me it's a very welcome addition and hopefully the AM folks will provide a nice fix for the wheels.

Cheers

Because it didn't appear in the News section so you couldn't find it. At least now it's in the News Section and on the What's New page for anyone to find.

Yes, Pat's correct, for some reason the original announcements been put under "softskins" not "/news", although a search using "BSA M20 motorcycle" did bring it up.

I happened to remember it because I thought the kit looked so crappy and old, given what the likes of Lion Roar/ Great Wall, Bronco and Vulcan are turning out these days. Not going to grace my stash I'm afraid Mr Tamiya.

Hi Alan,

I read it was a 70/80s kit that was never released hence the quality. WIth luck someone will do a fix for the spokes, but failing the arrival of another plastic BSA to replace it, it will hopefully have potential.

Absolutely agree. Considering the quality which is NOW standard, this looks like a half-hearted nod in the direction of the Allied builder with minimum effort and (for them) maximum earnings.

Tamiya, do it seriously or don't do it all...

Rob this item did need covering as a news item as when Jim R ran it the gallery was not working. Not a problem as I have duplicated a news story or two as well. Thank you for the information.

Jim,

Now, where do I send the bill for cleaning coffee off the monitor?

That is just BRILLIANT. First we had Tamiya bread, now something to weather cup-cakes with. Oh, Mr. T, you may not have the world's most inventive modeling company, but you manage to cheer us up!

There wasn't even any real duplication. This ran as a Forum Thread and was never added as a News Report. Even if it HAD been duplicated, there's no fault no foul in my book either..
