I like the idea of the long dock.. and I hope they expand this line with other diorama items in 1/35.

Hear Hear! They've obviously seen how popular Miniart's range is and this has the added attraction that it is injection moulded and not vac formed thought that will push up the price.

The AB 40 actually includes a small length of track, which is pretty interesting. Is this an all-new kit or modified reissue? I'm so used to Italeri issuing old Esci kits that I tend not to may too much attention to their "new releases". Admittedly, I also tended to not keep track of WWII Axis kits in the past, but have more interest now.

And looking at the link , they also have item #5615 Dock with Stairs , so it looks like there might be a variety of pieces to enlarge your water front dio . Although #5615 does not show up on the Italeri web site, yet.

According to ITALERI site it had been released this month - January 2012 - and it's marked 35 € (Euro).
