This is great to see. I remember ESCI had a Flammpanzerwagen in their 1/72-scale line up years ago ... wonder if this is the old molds cleaned up with link-and-length track?

Donning the Sherlock Holmes deerstalker, I would suggest that you are correct.

1. There's no mention of it being "new moulds" which surely there would be if it were.
2. The sprue shots show that the two sprues for the body parts have squared corners, while the sprue for the tracks has rounded corners, suggesting it was mastered in a different time and place.

Yes its ESCI, I built one many years ago and I have one more in the stash. You can tell it by the two figures.

Regarding those figures, they appear to be scaled down from Tamiya 1/35 originals.

I took out the old Esci kit and took two pictures of the sprues.
