These are seriously nice items that transform the Tamiya truck into a great piece quite easily. Painting is a lot of fun...

The trigger to actually buy some of their stuff is seeing it posted here. The Resicast website is so "difficult" that I wouldn't be surprised to find out I'm not the only one not bothering...

If I could spare the time I would probably help them FoC, any more volunteers out there?

H.

Another 2 fine options for the truck giving a good selection if your thinking of putting a patrol together!

A nice set - if a little overloaded?

Shame about the sagging canvas on the front fenders - I'm pretty certain these had slats running through them and were used as sand channels.

Hi Ken,

From what I've seen the trucks were packed full at the start of a patrol. Given the distances involved they tended to carry as much as the truck could hold and a bit more lol.

On the sand mats, looking at the pics I believe they are under the sagging canvas bundles which are strapped on top of the mats giving a bit of variety of finish if required. Could be wrong but that's what it looks like to me.

This picture indicates something similar with extra stuff on top:

Cheers

All the Resicast LRDG trucks are depicted at the start of a mission. Weathering should be subtle.

Hi, if this can help, the two canvas were used as sand channels as well as aerial recon panels (one side sand colour, the other side white and red) See pictures attached. Cheers. Jean-Louis

Cannot upload the pictures... Try to have a look at them in my albums.
