Wellll, it looks like I need to add that to the "gotta have" list... Wonder how it compares to the CMD M60 turret

Hi, All! I have a LEGEND M60 Conversion set for the old TAMIYA M48A5... Maybe it's time for one of the major domos to do a comparison review of the three available M60 conversion sets- I'm not sure if there are any others? With the new DRAGON M48A3 Type B kit recently arriving on the "Post-World War II AFV & Softskins Market", I'm reasonably sure that we'll probably be seeing other update and backdate PE and resin kits assaulting us soon...

Looks like they tell you to leave off the second front shock absorber (correct) but seems to be nothing to address the return roller spacing? They should be approximately equal spacing from the center one (see photo). Looks pretty good though.

Interesting.....
I'm in the middle of doing the Magach6-MEM using the Legends conversion, and they say the same thing: leave off the shocks at #2 station but nothing about the return rollers. I'll have to ck my refs.

Hi,All! Must be that the guys at LEGEND don't like the shocks at #2 station...

"Bad shock!"
And I guess if I'm starting with an M60 hull I don't need to worry about return rollers...... I had a blond moment there, sorry.

Russ, you should double check as there are no *real* plain M60(A0) plastic kits out there, all are M60A1/A3's. The lower hulls do have differences.

Also - glass film and decals would be a hit to sell separately too... PLEASE!

There is a bit more to modeling a M60 "slick" than DEF Models gives you concerning the hull...

...Hope this helps.

Oh oh, I'm going into a "modelers' ADD closed loop spiral" here.....
I've got Squadron's M60 book but that's it for basic refs, everything else I have are "campaign" books.

I have a PDF version of the PATTON Hunnicut book that is out of print now and impossible to find...

I think this link will take you to it, I've shared it on Microsoft Sky Drive:
http://sdrv.ms/17TTnGe

This is the bible of all Patton reference books!

I'm doing a conversion to an M60 - taking me forever to find the time though, but it's my favorite build to date and I've been doing this for a few decades!
