Ossie, was it the old Littlefield collection vehicle they measured? It had the early tracks IIRC, as well as the "Aces High" markings in the AFV Club build-up. (Academy gave part of this scheme, but crucially left out the name & playing cards.)

The real things were no doubt upgraded over time to T142 tracks among other things, so they'd need to put a bunch of extras in the box to cover all bases. I can sources new tracks and alli wheels if the base kit is as good as it looks, but first I need to justify a third A2 to go with the Adler/Esci and Academy ones in my collection!

It was me. That tank is at a veteran's hall in East Brady (Brady's Bend) PA, and I took photographs for you.

And it's 4703 rather than 4073:

C-23,my ride in '76 was 4863,JK00B5,and according to some facts only about 560+ were made. What was the first serial number,4700 perhaps?

Interesting you remember Carl; that pairing is legit on the list I have.

M60A2s were assigned the JK00__ registration series under the 1972 scheme. The series went JK0001 - JK0009, then JK000A to JK000Z, then JK0010 to JK001Z, and so on. I don't think they used the letters I or O to avoid confusion, but they did use Q and S. So, each position had 10 + 24 = 34 possiblities. The highest registration I have recorded is JK00FM, meaning there were at least (16 x 34 + 22 x 1 = ) 566 registrations assigned.

The serials I have run from 4430 to 4951 (521) in the JK00 range along with 5326 to 5547 in the older 9A series but these weren't in a continuous series and may include upgraded M60A1E1s. The lowest confirmed M60A2 pairing I have is JK0004/4430.

At this time the Army did not keep the serial and registration numbers in series pairings like they did in WW II, so you can't assume that if JK0025 was SN 4532 then JK0026 was SN 4533 (it was 4493).
