Useful for a number of ideas. With Dragon (Platform wagon) and Trumpeter (BR 86, Wr 360) there are all the parts for a "loading the tank train" dio well into the 1960s and including NATO tanks.

It does give them the option of also producing Russian 5 foot gauge track.

Something I think that would be very interesting is to create "re-gauged" track where one rail has been moved inward to the 4'-8 1/2" gauge. The track would have an interesting off-center look and the ties (sleepers) would have a certain "chewed up" look down one side.

It was quite typical for the Germans to re-gauge the RR tracks as they advanced into Russia to improve their supply line efficiency.

That is a western European track type. Russia used track spikes such as used in North America. Armor35 makes track detailed as re-gauged Soviet track: http://armorama.kitmaker.net/review/8114

I am still interested in this MiniArt track. A skosh over 2 feet of track in one package is useful. And it appears that it will be easy to substitute MiniArt plastic ties/sleepers with Armor35's wood ties, in both European and Soviet profiles.

Golly! D'ya think that's why they made it in 1/35 scale?

The Trumpeter track is a nightmare of knock-out holes in the rails in inconvenient and hard-to-reach places, so if MiniArt can come up with rails that don't require literally hours of filler putty and sanding, then I will buy a ton of them.

Armor35's track looks to require two sets for anything beyond a vignette of one of the smaller goods cars (6.75 inches); the Miniart product will be four times that length of track.

What would really be useful is either switches and level junctions in 1/35, or the frogs and points that you could use to assemble switches and junctions with the track components we have, either freestanding on ballast or embedded in pavement (i.e., tramways). Addressing the latter is one of the things on my to-do list once I get comfortable with my Flux 3D printer and can either find or make the STL models for the pieces.

Hi Sean: ask and ye shall receive:
1/2 Railroad Switch
Full switch
They also make a nice track-stop: Rail Track Buffer Stop

They don't have a crossing yet, but perhaps that's in the works.

That review is their short section. They also make a long (14-inch) section: Long Re-gauged
