We've recently had Abrams ABV announced recently and now this. And we all thought engineer vehicles didn't sell. I guess new subjects with guns are running out at last. It remains to be seen if this is a new - exciting - direction for companies.

Maybe there is even hope for a new B*r*eP*n*h*r when the manufacturers run out of engineering vehicles and start looking at recovery vehicles

This misses my general preferences in two ways; I like WWII and earlier and I'm not big on engineering and recovery stuff. That said, this is very cool looking and tempting to do as a one-off outside my so-called comfort zone. Just the cool looks of this vehicle will probably help it sell.

I agree with you Joh 100% every once in a while modern kit comes out and it's unusual like this kit. I like the era skin, this will be a nice change of pace for me.

Hi;

Well I Wonder if this is why the Trumpeter version is Not included in there 2018 catalog I am all in for Building off-theme vehicles like ARVs and vehicles that were expirements or trials vehicles and this is Different and what I really like !! Now all I need is for somebody to make the ARV based on the T-72 !

Does this BMR-3M vehicle also use dozer blade too?

I like to build turret-less breacher vehicles with plows or dozer blade for the simple reason that it would be less "delicate model" than a vehicle with mine rollers.

Hi;

Trumpeter did announce the BMR-3 in late 2015, but then it all went quite. The first Image of it was in A released picture of A BMR-3 on the back of one of there retriver vehicles with the Mine Rollers. Since then I have been waiting its release, and then Ming comes along with there's !--Now when it comes really down to it, I will just have to Bite my Lip and get the Ming kit !!

As I understand it, the Meng kit is an "M" which is different from the Trumpeter kit. I don't know what the exact differences are between the plain BMR-3 (Trumpeter) and the BMR-3M (Meng). But I remember from the CAD images, the M has the ERA bricks.

Either way, these are really cool additions to an already-mean-looking tank!

Thanks for the info,
I've been contemplating building an ABV and add The TuskII side ERA, It just made sense to me (the ABV already has the ERA blocks on the modified turret )and its nice to see my intuition was not far off.

I'm still wondering what type/kind of defense to add to an individual armor piece will carry, to deter Drones.

For those interested, Hobbyeasy.com has this on pre-order for a little over $40, due in a month. I think that's a good price for such a kit. But you be the judge.

There are so many new kits that I want. Now I know how people end up with a 1000+ kits that they can never build.

US drones carry Hellfire missiles, just like attack helicopters, so they've probably already incorporated it. If they can carry a Maverick it won't really matter because a Maverick can collapse a tank turret by kinetic energy alone.

Drones are not some fantastical machines. They are essentially model airplanes. Forces without conventional airpower can use them like airplanes or missiles. Forces with conventional airpower use them to maximize stealth and minimize risk to personnel. One of their advantages is their size, but it's difficult for a 20 lb adapted commercial drone to carry a 100lb missile. You are not going to knock out a modern MBT with a 3 lb grenade, even from above.
