I am trying to find a color that matches anodized brass. Looking at the color swatches of paint online is useless. I don't know if a paticular brands gold would be better or a version of brass. Often gold looks pale compared to brass.

Greg, Alclad has a couple of colors that look like brass to me. But anodized brass has a whole different sheen altogether. Not sure what you're tying to simulate, but a while back I mixed some Testor's square bottle silver with flat insignia yellow, which looked pretty good for an anodized gold color (for a model of the Voyager Spacecraft I did as a commission). I then gave it a light coat of Alclad gold, which gave it a more uniform color.
