Takom announced their new model kit... a pretty peculiar subject, but also a very pleasant surprise for many.

Low ground pressure would not set off some mines, correct? This kit is very welcome!

This is BvS-10 based Warthog in the photo. Completely different vehicle...

Looks like the French version is quite close.

No, once again that is BvS-10 based vehicle (note different, larger suspension - six wheels and high return roller against just five wheels and much lower return roller in BV206). BvS-10 is significantly larger than BV206S.

France supposedly has some BV206S as well, but the one in your photo is not it. This BV206S is probably French:

That would depend on the mine and how sensitive it is.
When driving over deeper snow the resulting tracks will not support the weight of a human.
The tracks left in 50-60 cm deep snow were so soft that I sank down 20 cm when walking in them.

You're right. France used both vehicles at a time. I don't know if the BV206S are still in use.
Some BV206 were also in use in French Guyana in the swampy areas around the European Space Center.

Without sounding ungrateful, the older model BV-206 seemed to be used by many military / civilian operators, and would be epic to see. The BV-206S doesn't seem as common.

Although I've found a well weathered UN verion on PrimePortal.

No, they don't use BV206S. They use BV206D a.k.a. M973 SUSV. Very different vehicle.

Yes they have that kit, i have it too, the resin parts ok, white metal no, tracks= photo etched [auto-censored], impossible to make.. So my opinion... For god sake, dont buy it as you will be so dissapointed and angry when you will make the tracks.. Try to remember how many of that kit you have seen.. I have had it for over 10 years.. Seen 1 completed build kit on internet....

Yes. You have to change basically everything. US military don't use BV206S, but BV206D based M973 SUSV. It is just a completely different vehicle.
