Great news concerning R39. French AFV's are a bit forgotten in 1/35.

I look forward to the R39. I think the only other one in 1/35 is the old Heller kit.

Heller's is R35. There's also R35 from Hobby Boss. This is actually first R39 in 1/35. I hope there will be french decals available for it.

Heller had two turret opttions, as used in their H35/H38/H39 kits:
- two different guns
- two different vision blocks types
- two different back doors

for its time, it was a decent kit with a bit of scratchbuilding necessairy. Biggest drawback were the tracks...

Yes, but R35/R39 and H35/H38/H39 are two different tanks....So no, Heller doesn't have R39.

There is no R39...
There is a R35 with SA18 short gun ( from WWI... ) or SA38 longer gun.
There is a R40 with different suspension system.

Looks like this version is a R35 with SA38.

The naming would have been good for a Hotchkiss tank...
