You would probably get more views of this story if you retitled it "Karl Mortar 4 in 1 kit," as that is the name by which it is best known. Gerät is just the German word for device.

I also bought the "original" Panzer Grau "Thor" kit- Have yet to build it, though. Too many projects on my four workbenches at the moment...

Someday, I'll have to get a turned-metal Barrel and a comprehensive PE set for it... Maybe some A/M Tracks, as well...

Looks tempting, that's for sure. Are the barrels styrene or turned metal?

Basically the orange box #29 that had the bonus figures, with an extra barrel option. Wonder if the PE barrel sleeve is included? Either way unless this is forty bucks it's just another "clutching at straws" re-re-release.

I agree completely as there are now almost as many versions (?) in this kit as there were actual Morsers, as the Germans called them. I wonder (probably in vain) if Dragon addressed any of the original kit's short comings? I also have the Trumpeter version with the railway attachments and have yet to find space to start it! Darned cluttered work area...
