I realize GI's didn't always have a chance to shave, especially during BoB, but that's a really heavy growth on that guy's face - looks like several months' worth! Maybe he stopped shaving on D-Day.

Biggles is right-- way too much beard for an ETO GI, and especially way too much for a "Captain", who would have been required to "set the example". Too bad as the rest of the figure looks pretty good.

Hi, People!

I think PARACEL stuck a US M1 Steel Helmet on one of their Afghan or Iraqi "Insurgent's" Heads, and "called it a day"...

Jeez, ENOUGH with the "Battle of the Bulge" figures, already!!! How about some-post D-Day, (Summer & early Autumn) GIs and Tommies, AND Pacific-theatre Marines? The African and Mediterranean theatres have been virtually IGNORED! The "Battle of the Bulge" was NOT the only place where American soldiers fought during World War Two... 1/35 Tommies in Winter Gear are non-existent. Doesn't anyone hear me???

"FURY" was a dumb-ass movie, just like 99% of everything else that comes out of Hollywood...

That captain with the beard would work well for Free French colonial units.

But a furry beard like that takes a month or two to grow. So this guy spent all of November and December cultivating this for the spring?

And this guy is supposed to be a CAPTAIN?!? I find it pretty unlikely that a US Soldier in Europe would have had the time, or better yet, without some higher-ranking Officer coming along to tell this guy to,

"SHAVE THAT G*DDAMN THING OFF!!!!!"

ESPECIALLY if this guy was in General Patton's Third Army...

Besides which, a BEARD is an EXCELLENT breeding ground for lice...
