I just got Rey's speeder from Star Wars. It needs weathering but not like a tank, more like an aircraft.

Thoughts?

I'd weather it like an WW2 aircraft that has seen months if not years of use in the North Africa campaign. Faded colors, sandblasted leading surfaces. Oil leaks that collect dust, a bit of light rust on bare metal. Areas where her sand covered clothes rub, like her seat and where her legs rub the engines would be finely scratched and buffed.

One of the Weathering Magazines early issues was on dust and the desert and has a step by step article on weathering Luke's landspeeder from A New Hope, that should probably tell you just about all you need to know for your project

Patrick that was my thought. Aircraft in North Africa.

Her outfit also needs recoloring. The outfit that comes with the figure is almost white but she wears gray.

Thanks for the reference items. I am starting to look through them.

No problem, I remember being up in the gunners hatch while driving thru the desert and the front of my uniform from beltline up was dusty while my back was relatively clean and my face was covered in dust except where I had a rag tied around my face.
