Wow, talk about splitting hairs! Will there be a Bulgarian or Romanian version coming soon?

So I guess you don't know much about T-55, do you?
Polish production tanks had many differences from Russian made ones and many Middle East and African countries used Polish built tanks, so to represnt them accurately you need this kit, as there is no other available yet.

I expect that MiniArt will also make a Czech production tank kit, as they - while similar to Polish ones - had their own specific features.

Pawel,

You said a mouthful here!

I also hope Czechoslovakian T-55 is in the to-do list of MiniArt.

"Bulgarian T-55" simply does not exist- my country used Soviet and Polish built ones,

Romania for the most part used only Soviet-production T-54/55. MiniArt has a T-55A early production which includes romanian markings.
What I would love to see but I highly doubt it is one of the local produced variants of T-55, namely the TR-580. But that one has a longer chassis and 6 wheels per side so MiniArt would need to do a serious re-tooling of their sprues and I doubt there is that much interest for this obscure variant to justify the production costs.

Unfortunately, until now Iīve seen a plenty of T-55, T-62 and T-72 variants from different manufacturers. MINIART does a really good job with their kits, no doubt about it. I just wonder, will there ever be someone releasing the S-125 (SA-3) SAM-system or some Yugoslav army tanks and APCīs in plastic, like the BVP M-80, some BOVīs, M-60 or M-84 variants? Companies are making tanks in different variants, but none of them care about those well known conflicts like Yugoslav wars for example. Some weeks ago Iīve sent MINIART my proposal/idea about it. Letīs see whatīs going to happen.

Which kit do I need to build an East German "Tauch" version. The ones able to go under water with the giant snorkels?
Reference: "Der Turm" Uwe Tellkamp. Main character in the book is loader (I believe) un such a T-55, situ begin / mid '80. Its a fantastic read on the situation people were in round that time. Greed / Corruption / Powers / Poverty / Intellect / Insanity / Lust / Love.

Regards,

Robert Jan
