When I tried making a Tamiya M26 tank, one major problem was that the Quickwheel mask set fit much too snugly and taking the rubber paint color. I have Eduard Pershing masks intended for the Hobby Boss version. Would they be OK?

Since you have the Eduard masks, give it a try...they may work out.

Any time there's a concern about tape (or a mask) lifting paint I just stick it my arm first. Just enough oils in the skin so that the mask still works but not as aggressively.

The problem wasn't the mask adhesive. The problem was that the holes in the other part were too tight. That is why I am pinning my hopes on the Eduard masks.

Try a circle template. The ones with lot’s of holes. Or try Quick wheel on eBay. I ordered a mask for takoms T30/34. From Poland to Oregon took a week and a half.
I would’nt hesitate to order from them again!

I thought I said that the Quickwheel masks intended for this model did not work properly?

Yes you did. I noticed with the Quick wheel, some of the wheels fit fine, others a bit snug. Maybe try a template and find a matching hole?

More than a bit snug, that's why I'd rather try using the Eduard wheel masks instead-if it would work. I have those in my possession already.
