I have recently tried a couple of VMS products and can say I like them a lot.

The standard pigment fixer (ENML Binder) allows to fix the pigments on a thin coat and dries quickly and completely matt, does not leave residues or marks. But best thing is that you can go back and remove them (using their VMS Universal weathering carrier) even days after applied.

Depending on the ratio of pigment/fixer it can be used for dust accumulations, splashes, etc.

You can add also their Pure Texture for adding volume and build up mud.

I can prepare a review with photos and more information if there is enough interest.

That's very useful info. I would certainly love to read a tutorial/review as I've been struggling with fixing pigments without fixer leaving tide marks and glossy surface.

I have several VMS glues and I like them a lot, so I know the company and would love to try more from them.

Carlos, I too would like to see a demo on this product, as I have yet to find a pigment fixer that I would deem successful...

Hi Carlos, Thomas,
Do you have any comment on this on their site?

Can be used over any acrylic base and enamel bases by the following companies: Humbrol®, Revell®, Model Master®. IMPORTANT: Tamiya® enamel base coats are incompatible!

Doesn't mention being OK with Tamiya acrylics (which is what most Tamiya paint use is, I'd have thought) but says incompatible with Tamiya enamel... Hmm...

I got this reply from VMS

Hi Thomas, Thanks for your message. Product can be used over "any acrylic base", this means all acrylics including Tamiya, no exceptions. Only Tamiya enamels are incompatible. Product is OK to use with your paints. Best regards, Chris

I'm definitely interested in a demo, I will be using pigments on a car diorama soon and need to get the techniques sorted out!

Cheers, D
