Very good finish. I like too the dust dispersion, it gives a realism touch, and highlights the vehicle.

Why is there cotton coming out of your tank

Seriously, thst is a great live action scene, you can feel the movement. The tank blends perfectly wit the base.

Biggles2,

I'm really impressed by the result!
Coincidentally, I've been trying to work out the best way of replicating thrown-up desert dust from fast-moving vehicles (as you've shown wonderfully here).
Perhaps you could explain your method. I also work in small-scale, so your approach would be perfect for what I have in mind.

It's simply cotton wool - you can buy a bag of cotton balls for cosmetics from a pharmacy or dollar stores. Pull apart part of one of the balls (you won't need much) and stretch it out and tease it until it looks like what you want. It's easier to do so if you tack it down in position first. I use toothpicks and needles to pull and shape the clouds. When I have what I want I airbrush it at the base with the groundcover colour. You may have to reshape it slightly after airbrushing. I use similar effects for smoke, and for water-spray for ship dioramas:
