For those who model British Armor (and, in particular Early-War subjects), the Covenanter has always been a desirable subject. Now, Inside the Armour have announced a FULL resin kit of the tank in 1/35th Scale.
The new model is:

35045 - Covenanter Cruiser Tank

This is a full kit in over 200 resin parts of the British cruiser tank, the Covenanter.

The kit contains options to make a late MkI, a MkII or a MkIV gun tank and includes metal barrels and a partial interior

The kit can be ordered now from Inside the Armour and selected stockists at a Recommended Retail Price of £90

My thanks to Chris for the Update!

You're wrong about Tamiya, they put the Italeri logo on the kits they rebox. No criticism was meant about the press release, you put what you want in it, I was discussing the way the information is put forward without comment by Armorama staff. Either that or they should mention clearly "ITA press release" specifically, for clarity. By the way the fact that it is a Cromwell kit I see as a positive, I've always loved Cromwell Models products and I have some in my stash, Hell I even built a few... Cheers, Christophe

My mistake (on both counts) Christophe, please accept my apologies for the misunderstanding Hopefully now I am producing the kits a lot of people that previously could not but them will be able to purchase these kits, especially as I will also be offering them to my partners at HobbylinkJapan, Hobby Easy, DB Models and others However, I will say this: these are not the last covenanters I will produce. Look out for more versions in the future that were never covered by Cromwell.......

Glad there is no more misunderstanding! A bridgelayer would be nice! Cheers, Christophe

Precisely. The best way to get a report like this across is to keep it nice and simple. There was a very complete story before about ITA having purchased the Cromwell moulds. in that, I made the following assumption... Those that buy ITA models (whether conversion sets, upgrades or, in this case full kits) are the kind of people who DO check previous reports and are the sort of people who do their homework on items like this. These are not $20 plastic kits and occupy a more 'specific' part of the market. So, I assume that most (interested) people will know they are 'basically' Cromwell designed moulds with some of Chris' enhancements added and leave it at that. Yes, and i'll echo what was said earlier, the Cromwell mouldings are some of the best castings ever to hit the market which suffered from a fatal flaw - the marketing.

Well, if the ITA Press release had been full of superlatives, it wouldn't have gone out in that form. No more than we publish PRs from DML or anyone else if they're in that line of self-importance. We're lucky, Chris' P.Releases are simple and factual - how much it costs, scale, price etc. Frankly, there's NO need for additional comment unless one feels the need. The first two (introductory) lines are all mine. No, it wouldn't win a Pulitzer, but it's sufficient for an introduction...

The important things to me are that a Covenanter is being made available, in 1:35, in Resin by ITA. Those facts alone fill me with excitement. Chris is always reliable and anything he sells is quality. enough said. Paul

My thoughts exactly....

I built this kit about 11-12 years ago, in fact it was my build that Gordon used on his website. I replaced the wheels with ones from an Italeri crusader and the tracks are fruil. I still have the model, it has survived being packed up and travelling to America and also being dropped once..........
