Dragon model continue their recent releases in Braille Scale, announcing a new tool Pz.Kpfw.III Ausf.L (Late Production) kit. This kit is planned to be available in January 2012.
Dragon show us once again that good things can come in small packages. The company has again announced a 1/72 version that uses the experiences gained for a a 1/35 kit to design a Braille Scale kit. The kit promises single piece upper and lower hulls using slide-mold tooling for crisp, accurate detail. It will also include open turret hatches as well as some photo-etch detail.

The Panzer III was a medium tank intended to be the primary platform. As Allied forces quickly responded with improved armor and firepower, the Panzer III was forced into an increasingly secondary role until production was discontinued in 1943. The Panzer III Ausf.L was one of the last variants produced. It featured a 5cm KwK 39 L/60 main gun and 20cm of increased armor on the turret and hull front. A total of 653 of this variant were produced in 1942.
