Dragon has announced news of a figure set in progress and no its not German, it is a Vickers team in action as a part of the British Expeditionary Force during the early part of World War Two.
Firstly I would like to thank Pat McGrath for bringing this release to our attention. Unusually for Dragon the artwork released with this news item is a combination of CAD images and an unusual looking artwork. It is good to see Dragon expand their vision with infantry from one of the allied combatants.

Whow! Finally! After having made beautiful sculptures of Axis military in almost all poses, they (finally ) come up with the Allies. Go on, Dragon, go on! Start with Canadians, Polish soldiers, Aussies. You have plenty sources! And us, modelers, can finally start filling our tanks, APV's and artillery pieces.

Looking good. I wish Dragon would be as half as innovative as far as the vehicle kits are concerned..

I found a great illustration of a British Vickers team in 1939 from an old Blandford book on British Army uniforms iullustrated by Jack Cassin-Scott. Even though it lacks a lot of detail I love this style of illustration

Nice to see another set of British Troops. A Vickers Crew 1940s will be a nice addition to those early style vehicles that are now much more accessable. Have we any further news on this one? Pat, nice pic, thanks Al
