Evolution Miniatures has a couple of new figures on offer with one being a Soviet solder and the other a German tank crewman.
Evolution Miniatures has quite an original figure this month with a Soviet soldier sat removing his boot to get rid of a hitch hiking stone or such from his boot. I know this is a simple enough setting but it is unusual to see a figure doing such an ordinary task and could be used as an eye catching vignette or as a central figure in a diorama as part of a story. The second figure features what looks to me to be a very weary German tank crewman who if dirtied up could tell a story on its own. I particularly like the very natural look of these offering with great attention to detail and excellent creases in all the right places.

The figures look nice. What is up with the post title though? I thought we were going with titles that were more decriptive and told the producer in them as well. This one just doesn't make sense.

I think that figure is really just adjusting his triangular foot wrap (used by Soviet soldiers instead of a sock), so I'm kind of puzzled by the thread title, too. (If he had been emptying out his boot maybe that would imply a stone or something else unpleasant in it..?) I really expected to see some small figure vignette depicting a soldier dragging some protester off a tank or something. Anyways, the figures do look very nice.

Thanks for the news Darren. I really like the Soviet figure and can already picture it in a vignette of some kind. As far as the title goes......when I read it I automatically thought of the scene from "Saving Private Ryan" where the airborne soldier makes a similar comment and sits down to remove his boot. Then I saw the figure, the title works for me. Thanks again, Randy

Guys I have by and large stuck with plain old titles for the news for some time now, such as X releases new Tank" and I wanted to play with the title, this figure set fitted the bill for me and it just popped into my mind. Sorry if you don't like it, Shoot me.
