Another STuG has been announced by Dragon Models, this time around a late war version.
Coming from Dragon Models is yet again, another STuG III in 1/35 scale. This will be an Ausf.G late war model of the December 1944 production run. The kit will include brand new parts to represent the gun travel lock and rear tow hook. Also included will the new 40cm DS tracks and some PE for extra detail.

Finally the final version I've been waiting for, too! Just hope Dragon doesn't release the late final version next!

Thanks, Kevin, for posting this. It will set off the usual debates about the kit's usefulness, but my feeling is it looks interesting for the modeler who wants every version. Probably not so interesting in and of itself, except for the Zimmerit-phobic.

Like sausage or anchovies on a pizza, that's extra.

From the picture, it looks to have rails for the schurzen. If this is December 1944, it makes me wonder, what version would have the shurzen with the rounded bottoms that swing rather than are fixed in place. I don't think Dragon has ever released a Stug III with those, at least not in recent memory.

Well crap, Dragon Styrene.

Schurzen with rouned bottoms are not of a particular version... it seems they were used on different versions... I didn't understand if they were field modifications or factory released...
