We now have all four volumes of Mike Starmer's superb booklets on British armor and vehicle camouflage.
Mike Starmer is the acknowledged expert on the subject, and he has produced four comb-bound booklets complete with camouflage pattern diagrams and paint chips. The text of each booklet explains camouflage development and use, clearly citing official sources.

Volume 1 is "The Caunter Scheme", covering that very distinctive pattern and colors used by the British Army in the early part of the desert war.

Volume 2, "Alamein and After, 1942-43" covers the later colors and schemes used in North Africa and elsewhere.

Volume 3, "Sicily and Italy 1943-45" (which also covers Tunisia) provides the necessary information on those campaigns.

Finally, Volume 4 "British Army Colours & Disruptive Camouflage in the United Kingdom, France & NW Europe 1936-45" is the source of all necessary British Army camouflage for the European Theatre from the prewar period through VE-Day.

Volume 1 is priced at 8.00 Pounds, while the others are all priced at 10.00 Pounds each, plus shipping. You can order from our secure website at:
