The latest news in from Mirror Models is the upcoming trailer is getting close to being ready, and should be on the way soon.
Mirror Models has sent in sprue and test build image of the upcoming CMP 10 cwt trailer. The 10 cwt trailer is a composite metal and wood construction with fixed sides and a drop tailgate. The full plastic kit will contain 40 plastic parts producing fine detail. The test images don’t include the full wood grain, but will appear on the final kit, as well as some other details.

Armorama would like to thank Mirror Models for the update on what looks to be another great looking model.

That's not CMP -it's British..... Made by 4 or 5 different manufacturers to a standard design although there are slight variations The toolbox on the front is too wide. It should be flush with the sides of the trailer neck. I'm currently rebuilding one Sk

Very useful addition to any British truck. At only 40 pieces, it will give a lot of effect. Two ful models makes it very interesting. Must get. @ Simon ... have you any images of this tool box? Dont have any myself.

I don't know how Libor finds the time to create these little gems.... But I'm glad he does.

I only have the IWM record shots which I have had to scale up to recreate the toolbox. Look on hmvf, G503 and MLU for pictures. Alternatively just google 10 cwt 2 wheeled trailer GS No 1 to pull up those IWM shots. These trailers were towed by British jeeps as well as 15cwt trucks and carriers Sk

Like many other subjects produced to British standards also large numbers of these trailers were manufactured in Canada. Simon, the toolbox is 0,3mm wider, this is just a test build to check fit and catch errors. The box is not a kit issue, but only mold issue, this with some other things is being fixed pro production. Bill, do not ask me, I have no idea :-)

I think that trailer is a cool build, and it would go well on other builds.

I thought that the Canadian 10cwt trailer was a very different beast, quite unlike the British 10cwt trailer modelled LINK Who built these trailers in Canada - it may help us to identify key features to give those of us who are restoring these trailers an idea of their origin so we can restore correct features rather than ending up with a composite incorrectly incorporating features from trailers made by a number of manufacturers sk
