As already mentioned today, Dragon Models is releasing another StuG III with some minor differences.
Dragon Models is providing the modeller with even more choices when it comes to the infamous StuG III with the announcement of the Ausf. G Alkett May 1943 Production variant. While mostly similar to the Ausf.G Early production, the Alkett includes a new MG gun shield and newly tooled frontal armor and engine deck. The kit will also include photo-etched details and newly produced 40cm DS track.

Will it be the early May or the late May version ?? Maybe optional parts .....

I would like a new kit of short barreled Stug III, like an A or B.

Here, here Johhar! Why do we need another Stug III G?!?! At least give us a Stug III E or F, between the umpteen early Panzer III kits and the two Stug III F/8 kits the parts are there!!!

They won't release it until they've finished their exhaustive research into unidentified Eastern front units. Kimmo

I have joked with others about the repetitiveness of Dragon's releases, but in all honesty, I do like this kit (since I really like the StuG) and I don't mind the DS tracks. I wish there was more detail on the inside, and I would like to see other early variants, but the basic kit is good, and not just an old re-pop with new decals.

I agree I like the StuG to... Course there is always one's out there that will knock Dragon for another version of this or that but the same one's troll eBay and find the same kit that they mocked on here going for cheap then watch out it's messages to the seller asking "Will you post to this place or that and how much" or the classic " I see your kit didn't sell so would you accept less than what you asked for?".... So thank you Dragon I for one appreciate the selection.

I don't mind them releasing slightly tweaked versions either, it makes perfect sense from Dragon's standpoint and ensures a steady supply of Stugs on the market so ebayers don't get a chance to go nuts. What I do mind is that the DS tracks, if they're the same as the ones in the late production kit, they're too long by 3 links, maybe more, they sag more than cheap motel mattresses. There was also a fair amount of flash which is next to impossible to clean and they look slightly anemic. Other than that, I guess they're fine. I would also like to see them address the lack of marking options and goodies. Kimmo

A StuG III G! Amazing! I wonder how long modellers will buy all those similar kits. I bet that Dragon would stop to do this if some of those "new" kits wouldn't sell...
