Just in time for Euro Militaire 2014, Tommy's War announced a special vignette to mark the anniversary of the outbreak of World War I.
TW54S01 - The Christmas Truce, 1914
Sculptor: Nino Pizzichemi
Box art: Günther Sternberg

Set comprises of 2 figures cast in resin. The scenic base shown is not included in set TW54S01. The base is TW54D02 and available separately.

Christmas Truce 1914 is an interpretation of that unique event in 1914 that sadly was not to last. The scene is designed to reflect that man can put aside differences and commemorates the men and women of all nationalities that suffered between 1914 and 1918. Please bear in mind it is deliberately designed as a historical interpretation of an event, not a literal piece.

For many years the famous WWI Christmas Truce between the combatants of 1914 has been one of my fantasy dioramas laid out and constructed in my head many times over. Thought it would be a unique one...Oh well - you snooze you loose! This set will be a must have to help finally make it a reality. Thanks for the posting...finally some long overdue WWI figures arriving on the scene!
