A quick turn around from Panda after the initial announcement has some built images of the BMD-2.
Panda just announced the new BMD-2 kit not long ago, and have already provided some built images of the new kit. And from the images, looks to be another great looking detailed kit from Panda.

Armorama would like to thank Panda for the image update.

Wonder if they corrected the biggest errors of the BMD-1 or the common part remain unchaged..

Yes please do tell I was just going to buy the BMD-1 before you said that!

Here... LINK and I saw the BMD-2 build.....looks the same with a couple new parts...ie no clear parts and those funky tracks (remember the good part too...nicely molded ..and no flash) Oh and to clarify... my kits are shelved After I make the most difficult part...then I get a bit bored. Also after my review I went and built 4 or 5 different sets of tracks.... my favorite to build were the DEF ABV tracks... there was something so cool about how they 'clicked' into place.. ... I also really like the Meng T-90 and BMPT tracks.... I can twist them up pretty well and they still hold together. .....but Meng's M2A3 tracks are just so-so; twist them enough and they come apart.

Thanks ! I was afraid it was some major size/dimension issue :-) I have managed a number of difficult tracks so these ones don't seem to be worse than some others .... / Robin

Tracks... Guide horns are separate pieces, but there's no help to attach them to the track links. One must be very careful to glue them to the same place on all links. Silly error. The assembly guide is fuzzy too, but it is not the problem of the kit itself. Panda cannot make proper assembly booklets.

How was the fit of the parts on the BMD-1? I was thinking of getting this new BMD-2, but after working on their Cougar kit, I'm kind of reluctant.. do the parts fir "reasonably" well? Hisham

It was my first review... and so I did not lay out the information carefully.... "Panda BMD-1 TRACKS - 376 pieces ... Bonus tank included" - 164 pieces" Fit was pretty good on the kit they gave me. the only difficulty with "fit"... 'the three piece lights' , the loose fit of the torsion bars, and the frustrating tracks... AND 'guide horns' .... LINK the model is crisp and well molded, but the shortcomings of instructions, lack of clear parts, and the tracks make this a $20 model....NOT $50
