Could it be time for the Tamiya T55 to go silently into the night? The Tamiya T55 has been the T55 of choice for a good number of years, but now Takom have two T55’s driving onto the market.
Takom is releasing a good mix of models of late, and releasing various options at the same time. This time around it is T-55 AM and a T-55 AMV both in 1/35th scale.

2041 – T-55 AM
2042 – T-55 AMV

As far as a standard T55 goes Trumpeter is planning a new T55A (different from their old one), though I am not sure when the release date is.

TRUMPETER's Chinese T-61(?) sounds interesting, too! What we could all use are kits of the T-44 and T-54... I hope... Maybe..?

GREAT, really! But STILL, it figures that these new kits of other versions of the T-55 come after I went out and bought A/M conversion sets!

Hi Guys; IMHO these two kits were way overdue in plastic kit form; But remember that you could have built these Two Versions for lets see, twenty years now. There were atleast six different AM companies that made resin conversions, among them was AEF ! Both the BD & BV were not new versions of the T-55s, just the first in Injection Molded Plastic. Again The Tamiya T-55 is A kit that all the other's are going to go A Long way to Beat, and another version we will seen soon is the Kladevo ! Atleast I Hope So. CHEERS; MIKE.
