Dragon Models has announced a 1/35th scale 8.8cm Flak 36 auf Pz.Kpfw.IV Panzer IV Ausf.H in the works. The images provided lead me to believe that this will be released very soon.
The images provided by Dragon Models of this model look very promising in many respects. The 88mm should be of a very high quality due to the excellent offerings they have provided in the past. The Dragon styrene tracks are a love and hate aspect of the model and I wish Dragon Models would offer both these and the magic tracks that they have in the box this approach would keep both camps very happy with a limited cost to Dragon Models. The photo etched parts look to be very minimal with nothing other than the barrel travel lock that I can see.

As long as it was only used as a mobile Flak gun, and not AT. But they could have included the gun shield against enemy strafing.

From all the pictures I've seen of this vehicle, they didn't get it right.

Odd that a company like Dragon seems to be working backwards. 10-15 years ago their kits were still good, but it seems as they entered 2016, they actually release poorly conceived kits...a re-hash of old kits, less in the way of good materials such as metal barrels, rubber band tracks and little or no-use PE. As with other folks, Dragon's lack of focus and quality had lost me as a customer quite some time ago. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah, recycling and calling a lot of their old kits "NEW!!!". I'm not going to list DRAGON's vices, as that is all "OLD!!!". I DO however, give DRAGON credit for their "NEW!!!" 3559 M48A1, 3553 M60, and 3562 M60A2. In defense of ebay, you can STILL find a lot of the older and better-content 1/35 DRAGON kits there, with honorable mentions going the better long-established on-line Hobby Houses...

DRAGON is in decline with quite a few modellers- In the meantime, DRAGON is laughing all their way to the bank... DRAGON USED TO BE the most innovative 1/35 scale manufacturer on the face of the planet; back in the 1980s and '90s, it was TAMIYA. Obviously this is no longer true, in the cases of DRAGON and TAMIYA, both. One can't blame all the excellent competition from the likes of MENG, BRONCO, TRUMPETER, HOBBY BOSS and whole boatload of others for DRAGON's decline. DRAGON, and in some ways, TAMIYA have only themselves to blame...
