Dragon informs of a new Konigstiger, a tank from the Schwere Panzer Abteilung 505 with moulded zimmerit.
This comes right after Takom has announced their Konigstiger models, one of them representing the same vehicle.
With its insignia is instantly recognizable – a charging knight on a horse, by September 1944 s.Pz.Abt.505 was re-equipped with the Konigstiger. It fought on the Eastern front until the end of the war.

What sets this 1/35 scale kit apart is the pre-injected Zimmerit coating on the upper hull and turret. The kit mimics the original Konigstiger.of s.Pz.Abt.505 in that there are rectangles on the turret where there is no Zimmerit to allow the unit insignia to be painted on.

The famous insignia is included as high-quality decals. As a special bonus, Dragon also placed in the box a second turret with a completely normal Zimmerit coating, thus giving modellers even more choices to build a regular Konigstiger..

Apparently, Dragon is coming back to its golden age, including photo etch grilles, clear parts for periscopes and Magic Tracks

???[/quote] I think he's trying to list all the brands that have done a King Tiger kit.

I figured, but he's nowhere near listed them all. Granted, he may be young and doesn't know some of the older companies, but he forgot Nichimo, Fujimi, Nitto, Bandai and Hobby Boss as well as Airfix, Zvezda, Revell, Pegasus Hobbies, Eduard, AHM (yes, the railroad company - it was horribly inaccurate and ugly), and Aurora. And I'm sure there's a few others out there I missed. Now, if he's talking armor in general then things expand again because now we can start adding the guys from the former Eastern Bloc countries.

Don't forget that ICM also will release King Tiger w/o zimmerit and interior, and the price I'm sure will be lower. Only CAD images are available for now, but looks very good. So this year we have plenty of options for Tiger II Cheers!

It's about time Dragon upgraded their Jagdtiger too. That could do with a clear headlight, a few other things and a new multi piece slide moulded machine gun just like the King Tigers.

I wonder if the crane will be available separately? It could be used on other tanks. Is there a timeline on the Meng KT?
