ICM continues releasing figures of the First World War, now with a set of four US Infantry Soldiers.
The set represents one officer and three soldiers from the US Army in 1918. The poses are very dynamic, as in the middle of a combat situation.

It will be reference 35693, with completely new moulds and including the weapons and equipment.

I know there have been some comments about the puttees (mine included), but didn't enlisted US infantry at this time where canvas gaiters anyway? Or had they changed by 1918? Jim

You mean ICM intentionally cut incomplete moulds to make equally incomplete models? An expensive proposition! They don't look like CAD representations. [/quote] The figures in the photos may only be "test-shots", but ICM's first set of Doughboys wore the same gaiters/leggings as seen on this new set. Any conjecture or opinions on our part at this point is... Need I say it? Let's just wait and see what happens...

There are no join lines and if you look carefully you can see some excess clay from where the plastic parts were jammed on for the pictures. Since starting to follow figure creation on plasticsoldierreview.com I have gained some familiarity with the medium. I can recognize a sculpt as opposed to a CAD versus a rough mold. And as a graphic artist I can see a little image manipulation in there too.

What ever it is, it will be finished soon. And the addition of W.W.1 American troops is very welcome to me. I will definitely be P/U a set or most likely 2 for my dio's.

When are these being released? The poses are great!

So I just received these today and they are great. The figures in the photos are not as detailed so I do think they are test shots.
