Mission Models, the famed American manufacturer of the EtchMate©, Grab Handler, Micro Chisel and the Multi-Tool is back and ready with an all-new line of premium hobby products. We are very proud to announce the release of all-new MMP line of acrylic hobby paint, additives and weathering colors.
Through months of research and development we have formulated an amazing line of fine art paint for both the scale modeler and graphic artist. Our paints are odorless, non-solvent based, and triple pigmented for incredible coverage using the finest lightfast organic pigments available for maximum opacity and ultra-fine lines with greatly reduced overspray. Made entirely in the USA, with our own proprietary formula, they are created for superior airbrushing, while still being equally suitable for brush painting. Days of spraying low-grade paint that does not perform properly or drying fast at the airbrush tip causing numerous problems are a thing of the past. MMP paints and products are specifically developed to bring the joy of painting back to the hobby!

MMP Paints are designed for a wide variety of tasks, and spraying them straight from the bottle is not an issue, plus they can be additionally thinned for a range of effects. In addition a couple drops of our MMP Polyurethane greatly further reduces tip dry from the airbrush and increases blending times for figure painters. MMP paints do not require large amounts of thinner to work as promised, and the results are nothing short of what we, as modelers and artists, have long waited for.

We do not add further additives to our paints from the factory, such as thinners or flow enhancers, which in turn gives paint a finite shelf life, poor performance in different climates and overall reduces the quality of the paint. Because we do things differently, with the end user in mind, MMP Paints will not harden, separate, break down or hard settle over time. All bottles include a mixing ball for aditional mixing before use.

In addition to our core paint line, we also have a series of 5 different color primers. Our primers, like our paint, are a special proprietary formula that must be reduced with our thinner only. It’s a unique solution that produces more than impressive results. Plus, it is 100% acrylic and odorless. Once thinned the primer surface is an ultra-smooth durable finish that requires no sanding.

We have also produced an acrylic MMP Polyurethane Mix Additive that is an automotive-grade formula that increases flow, reduced drying time, durability and sanding properties with a slight eggshell finish. Its uses are near endless and provide incredible finishes for the military, aircraft and civilian modeling genres alike. Mixing the MMP Poly into the paint is an added bonus when applying decals and oil washes.

MMP Thinner is a dedicated 2-in-1 product. Not only is it your main Thinner/Reducer, but also your airbrush cleaner. The days of using exotic foreign thinners to make a paint spray to a respectable level are also soon to be behind us. MMP paints are eco friendly and deliver a user-positive experience that is rewarding and contributes to increased confidence while building and painting. Please follow our instructions for use, as our products do not perform like the other hobby paints that again require large amounts of thinner.

The initial 2017 Mission Models release will consist of 53 core military colors, weathering paints, and a few metallic colors for starters. Shortly after this release, we will continue by adding additional military, civilian and transportation colors, science fiction, new weathering and additional metallic colors. In addition, our paints are specifically designed and produced to look correct in-scale and make your model the best it can be.

MMP Paints are available in larger value-based 1oz bottles with a handy flip cap dropper top that aids in precise measurement for more accurate mixing. MMP Thinners are sold in both 2 and 4oz bottles, and our MMP Polyurethane Mix Additive is only available in 2oz bottles at the moment.

There are a lot of choices on the market and Mission Models has set out to truly provide a world-class Made in the USA product that will change the way you paint. We strongly believe the days of struggling with model painting with acrylics will soon be a distant memory. We have created is a 21st Century product designed for the current and future of scale modeling. We aim to be on every bench, and make each modeler confident in our products while creating their best work. Period.

We also realize the cliché of by modelers, for modelers are often over-used. We are indeed modelers and artists just like you. We have spent years trying to make what we have available work for us. The struggle is real and often frustrating. We have set forth a path to show the world that an American-made hobby paint company can produce a series of products that performs to the absolute highest standards if not above providing incredible results and value to make your dollars and work go further. Most importantly we want to bring the joy of hobby painting back under your control with results that will show up on your display shelf, in photos, and on the contest table. We are confident that you will love our new MMP paints and products, we stand behind them 100% and your modeling satisfaction is our only goal.

Please see our new Mission Models website for immediate ordering, the paints are already in stock, and follow us on Facebook for all our latest product news. It will happen fast and often, and we will provide paints and products for a broad range of hobby subjects and genre -- stay tuned, and get ready to change the way you paint!

Not saying it is a bad thing, but in my opinion modellers invest a lot in their paint of choice. Just curious how other modeller feel about new companies? The biggest part for me is access to these new paints as well, as mentioned, most hobby stores here in Canada already have their fill of paint rack displays, and trying to get another one in is almost impossible.

The Paint Market is already crowded and I for one am not a huge fan of these polyurethane mixtures.

I use Tamiya, Vallejo, and MM paints currently. I have a couple of old Floquil lacquers that I use, occasionally. I, for one, have no desire to invest in a new brand of paint.

Introducing a better product clears the crowd out of the room really fast.

I am always happy to see something new, keep the hobby and the market alive, but personaly i am a "Afficionado" when i find "the good one" i usually stay with them, i dint like to have little bit of this and that

I now use several different brands of paint depending on what I am doing and what I want to achieve. At the moment I am using: Mr Model Tamiya Alclad Humbrol Life Color Vallejo AK I am sure there are other paints as well that have slipped my mind. My point is we can all knock a new paint line, but until we take it for a ride we have no idea of its qualities and uses and so should not give up already.

I have my favorites, too, but given the quality of Mission Models' tool line, I'm looking forward to giving their new paint a try! Bring it on!!

Definitely worth a try. Mission Models puts out quality products so these should be nice.

I have some of the Mission models primer and Panzer colors. I have been impressed with how well they spray and they have great leveling qualities. Defiantly worth a try as it is a very quality product.
