Kraut kits is working on a new odd vehicle, the German heavy tractor Lauster Wargel LW 5.
There was only a prototype of this huge vehicle, built by Lauster in 1943. It was powered by Maybach HL 108 TUKRM engines, allowing the 36 ton vehicle to tow up to 53 tons.

It was intended either for recovery of tanks or towing a trench plough.

The 1/35 kit is still in progress but according to the photos shown, it looks very good, with (at least) part of the engines included.

Hi Carlos, It wouldn't be bad to mention the scale too, as usual. TIA!

Hi Ilian, There is no specific mention of scale when I saw it, however their website says they produce 1/35 kits so... I guess that is it. Thanks for the comment, hope I am not wrong

Hi again, Carlos. Indeed, there are no scales mentioned in their site what is a bit surprising. However, I think you're not wrong, considering that all their item numbers in the site start with "35" and the "1/48" section is absolutely empty. Cheers!

HasnĀ“t Trumperter or TAKOM announced one in plastic? I guess it would be much cheaper...

Takom has the Krupp Raumer S, which shares the same concept but it's a different vehicle.

Wow! I thought that this was some kind of huge logging skid...To think that this was built in 1943! not sure about it being a good towing vehicle but with the right amount of belly armour it might make a wacking great mine clearer!

resin....price way out there

Then hopefully it won't be released as a resin or multi-media kit. Either way, what a huge beast!
