Another new company entering the fray is Gecko Models with four 1/35th scale announcements. Gecko Models are coming in with a bang by offering two armoured vehicles and two figure sets that I am particularly interested in.
It is unusual to see a new company hit the market with four new 1/35th scale offerings, but that is exactly what Gecko Models has done with the following offerings:

35GM0001 - Cruiser Tank Mk II CS, A10 CS Mk IA
35GM0005 - Kreuzer Panzerkampfwagen Mk II, 742 (e) (-10)
35GM0013 - WW2 British MG Team in Combat (N.W Europe)
35GM0014 - WW2 British MG Team Marching (N.W Europe)

The figures are the first infantry I have seen wearing the combat jerkin. Another point of interest are the kit numbers which indicates that Gecko Models has at least 14 items in the works.

So the hint about the A10 back in september was right. Very happy to see this one in plastic at last!

I really like the two British MG offerings, very useful. Particularly the team on patrol. Going to have to see what the kits are like in person.

Why is the prone figure using a range finder? For the .30 cal?? Never seen an MG crew use an optical rangefinder.

The Brits were fond of using the Vickers for indirect fire in both World Wars, working up a complicated but well-coordinated drill. The rangefinder was a pretty essential component of that operation.

"Raining" MG fire on trenches was a favorite English tactic from both world wars. They were very good at it. Says Grandpa Schmidt, not much else, but that yes
