Also known as the T-72B4, the T-72B3M is the latest modernized version of the Russian-made T-72 main battle tank. It was first unveiled to the public during the finals of the International Russian Army Tank Biathlon competition in October 2014. Its main armament is a 2A46M5 125-mm smoothbore gun, complemented by one PKTM 7.62mm coaxial machine gun, and one 12.7mm NSV heavy machine gun. Crewed by three personnel, the T-72B3M features other accessories / capabilities such as night vision, fording kit, NBC protection system, panoramic sight, and reactive armor, to name a few. Last March 2016 it was announced that Russia will upgrade 150T-72Bs to that of the B3M specifications.

Trumpeter’s Russian T-72B3M MBT (09510) features refined details such as a multi slide-molded lower hull and turret, individual tracks, and photo-etched parts. The kit contains more than 1,300 parts in 28 sprues, as well wires of copper and brass. As built, the model stands at 289mm in length and 108mm in width.
