Balaton Modell released their long awaited kit in 1/35 scale featuring an off-road 4x4 produced in Russia: Lada Niva.
BM3567 - Niva 4x4

This multimedia kit (resin + PE) contains pieces to build 1.6 or 1.7i version.

The LADA 4x4, formerly called the Lada Niva, is an off-road vehicle designed and produced by the Russian (former Soviet) manufacturer AvtoVAZ specifically for the rural market. It was the first mass production off-road vehicle to feature a unibody architecture, independent front suspension with coil springs, and is a predecessor to current crossover SUVs which nearly all follow this format.

I remember my father having one of these here in Canada that we used up at the cottage. It was a little beast, and I definitely need to have this one.

You even get an exhaust to go with it, even though Lada's don't have any

Oh yeah! I guess the only LADA that sold and still sells very successfully worldwide. None of the current SUVs out there can compete with this guy when it gets to real off road

Probably the only Soviet/Russian-made (non-military) car that was/is really appreciated in the Western world too and pretty much the only one that is still around in Western Europe these days. It's a tough, reliable, great off-roader. I'm happy to see in it 1/35.
