Panzer Shop, in collaboration with Miniman Factory, makes available its kit on this Cold War era vehicle.
Developed by the Soviet Union in the 1960s, the PTS (Plavayushchij Transportyer – Sryednyj) is a large tracked amphibious vehicle able to carry a payload up to 10 tons. Based on the chassis of the ATS-59 artillery tractor, the PTS features a boat-like hull. The crew compartment is located at the front while the rest of the vehicle provides the cargo area which is loaded using the ramp at the rear. Primarily used by the Soviet Union, the PTS and its variants were also exported to Warsaw Pact countries and other Soviet allies. Russia currently remains as its major user.

Two kits are offered by Panzer Shop:

  • PTS-10 Army Amphibious Vehicle PSA35C186HT(A)
  • PTS-10 Fire Brigade Amphibious Vehicle PSA35C186HT(F)
Both are multi-media kits containing resin and photo-etched parts, Friul metal tracks, as well as a bonus figure. Markings differ as specific decal sets for Army and Fire Brigade use are included in the kits. Limited quantities of each kit have been produced.

Background information on the vehicle sourced from sovietarmor.com and weaponsystems.net.
