MiniArt is set to re-release its German tank crew set as a special edition kit.
German Tank Crew (Normandy 1944) Special Edition (35275). The kit builds five figures in various poses. An additional sprue is included for weapons and equipment.

Please note, these figures are wearing the U Boat leathers; they are based on a photo sequence showing tank crews from 12th SS Hitler Jugend. They are therefore only suitable for depicting this unit, SS LAH and possibly SS sPzAbt 101/501.

Actually, leather suits for Italian submarine crews, apparently made in Germany. Whatever happened to that fine Corinthian leather??

That actually came from a supplier outside Newark, NJ, so probably a little difficult for the Germans to get their hands on.

Always useful to have as I believe that a vehicle needs at least one figure to give scale. The tank commander, not wearing leather, could be used anywhere. The others can only be used in HJ, etc. in the Normandy campaign. Considering how hot that summer was it must have been brutal to wear these things in a rolling sauna. On the other hand third degree burns are kind of uncomfortable as well...
