Jim, Don't get me wrong i'am not complaning. This is a nice treat from Santa. Just dont understand why they wouldnt go the extra step witha new kit. I caint wait. Looked at the pics seven times already.

My guess on why "no zim" on this one is likely due to the heritage it has with the Panther G series of Smart Kits as previous releases. Depending on when work started on this one, the molded-on zim may not have been ready for prime-time yet.

Bill i'am sure your correct. Still disapointing.

Another great release from DML that I'm sure to add to the stash but why so little marking options

look's good, But the Tamiya late production is the way to go, the early and mid production Jag's didn't see much action, not to mention all the problems. Also most after market supplies pertain to late production Jag's. I luv'em, but for your money you can't beat the Tamiya version. The only "mid-early" Jag's that seen action where in the Ardennes. If I recall correct only 2 units - both Schwere none SS-

Yes, but the subject of this Report IS an EARLY production vehicle, so I totally fail to see your point...

the Tamiya kit offers parts for both early - mid - late build ups. Of all the Jag's offered from various companys the Tamiya offers the best - (IMO, I built the Tamiya, Dragon, and Italeri) However downsides are the lack of photo-etch in the 35 scale range - I think this offer from Dragon includes some PE, so on that note it should make for a good kit,

Strange as it may seem the markings supplied are exactly the same vehicle as given in the old Gunze JP, the box art is very similar too....

now that is interesting.. I hope DML will offer more markings in their smart kits. I just cant see why they would limit the modeler to build the same track as the next guy with the same markings...... Or have you go out to purchase makings. As for the kit.. Happy to see it hit the shelf and plan on getting one. New roof lines and over all shape looks great!:) AlexanderK
