These beautifully rendered figures look strangely lighthearted in the midst of what was actually a quite desperate operation...!

Stalingrad continues to raise the bar on figures, especially these "mini-dios."

Possibly modeled on a photo of a Tiger crew smiling and waving while passing a German camera crew filming the 'advance'. Just a guess, but there are plenty of examples of it. Al

These are really nice and I look forward to seeing them in person; I agree that they're probably waving for the cameras. I still have the cameraman that came with the Dragon Tiger 1 initial kit.

I've seen a film clip of these guys, and of course the much more famous and often seen film clip of the Fallschirmjaeger catching a ride on a "King Kitty II". Some of those guys looked right into the lens of the camera, and some of them even smiled and waved. Let's not forget that this German attack in the Ardennes was a big morale booster for some Germans in Uniform, after having been chased out of much of France and Belgium... Looks like a nice set to me. I may even break down and get a set for that "Ardennes K-T II" sitting inside of one my display cases...
